Jill Coward

Originally from Lexington, North Carolina, Jill Coward serves as both the Chaplain and Legislation Chair for MERWC.

Jill graduated from the North Carolina State University where she earned a B.A. in Sociology and Criminal Justice.

Over the past several years, Jill has served as the State Director of Concerned Women for American of North Carolina where she previously served as the Communications Coordinator for CWA. Jill has the honor of educating and mobilizing citizens to promote, defend, and uphold Judeo-Christian family values through prayer, education and community involvement as well as lobbying North Carolina state legislators and national congressmen for the purpose of reversing the culture and political decline in our nation.

Throughout her whole life, Jill has been involved in politics. Her interest really sparked when she attended NC State in the 1970s and attended the 1976¬†Republican National Convention in Kansas City with “Youth For Ford”. During that time, she worked as Secretary for the North Carolina State Republican Headquarters in Raleigh. Now, Jill lives in Union County and is a proud member of the Sweet Union Republican Women’s Club. For decades, Jill has been a dedicated grassroots volunteer for several strong Conservative candidates.

Jill and her husband are celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary this year and are planning a trip to Isreal. Jill is a mother of three and a grandmother to four. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining and cooking for her friends and family. A lover of God and French Bulldogs, Jill is heavily involved with the pro-life movement.
